The Euro-Peds® clinic opened in 1999 as a specialized clinic out of North Oakland Medical Centers (NOMC) upon the urging of parents who had brought their daughter to Poland for intensive therapy. After noticing remarkable improvements in their daughter’s strength and function, they sought to establish a similar clinic closer to their home in Michigan. NOMC agreed to open Euro-Peds® in 1999, and it became the first intensive pediatric physical therapy clinic outside of Europe.
Today, Euro-Peds® continues to flourish and improve upon the intensive physical therapy model, melding the best of East European and Western therapy practices. They have treated over 1,400 patients from 45 U.S. States and 5 different countries.
Euro-Peds® provides European-inspired, progressive PT that helps children learn new skills leading to healthier and more independent lives. Euro-Peds® therapists are experienced and specialized at treating non-progressive neuromuscular disorders using a wide variety of modalities throughout long bouts of therapy lasting up to 4 hours per day.
Euro-Peds® clinicians are also known for educating parents and caregivers about best home practices for children with cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, spina bifida and a wide variety of metabolic and genetic disorders.
