The Euro-Peds Foundation raises funds for children who have special needs and their families. The foundation primarily awards treatment grants to help cover the cost of specialized intensive pediatric physical therapy, also known as the EURO-PEDS PROGRAM at Euro-Therapies Family Therapy Center in Pontiac, Michigan. The center is nationally-recognized and families travel from all parts of North America and beyond to seek treatment for children and adults who have cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, genetic syndromes, spina bifida and other gross motor disorders.
Established in 2013, the EPF believes that EVERY CHILD DESERVES A FIRST STEP; and we know that the expert team at Euro-Therapies understands that mobility matters! Whether the child is learning to shift his weight to assist with a transfer, developing balance to sit in a chair or learning to walk, each of these steps gives the child a level of independence, improved function and mobility that matters.
The Euro-Peds clinic opened in 1999 and has since expanded to Euro-Therapies. The center is specialized in providing European-inspired, progressive PT that helps children and adults learn new skills leading to healthier and more independent lives. Speech therapy is now offered at the center as well. The therapists on staff are experienced and specialized in treating neuromuscular disorders using a wide variety of modalities throughout long bouts of therapy lasting up to 4 hours per day. They have treated thousands of patients from all U.S. States and 5 different countries.
